Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

You can choose whether to pay by credit card or cheque. Simply make your choice and follow the instructions.

If paying by cheque, you will need to print out your order and post it to us, with a cheque, made payable to "Woolly Workshop". We will dispatch your goods as soon as your cheque clears.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling Handling is a minimal fee to cover packing materials. Shipping is calculated based on weight and actual cost of shipping, No profit is made on shipping and handling, it is done at cost price.
Delivery Schedule We will dispatch your order as soon as your credit card payment or cheque has cleared. We will normally send your order to you in 4 business days . International orders are generally received in under 7 days.
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added unless you have a valid VAT registration number. For more information, please go to HMRC (Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs) website. All other orders are VAT free. Prices are shown including VAT
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. We use SSL, you should see the yellow padlock symbol in your browser when you reach the checkout area where you enter your credit card details. Your details are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site nor can they be read or copied when travelling across the internet.

Woolly Workshop complies with the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and the Supply of Goods & Services Act 1982. If your goods are not of merchantable quality we will replace them or refund your money.

We do, however, reserve the right to apply our rights under 'caveat emptor' if you buy the wrong goods. We may, at our discretion, exchange them for other goods, but any postage costs involved will be at the buyers expense. Before we will consider this we need to know that the goods to be returned are still in saleable condition i.e.:
Hanks of wool not wound nor tainted in any way eg cigarette smoke, pet smells or perfume etc
Items to be returned in original packaging and packets not opened
No damage to needles, etc

Items such as patterns and books will not be accepted for return, due to copyright issues, unless we have sent the wrong items.
